1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how FieldServo ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information from customers, tenants, technicians, and visitors who interact with our platform, websites, mobile applications, and APIs (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to handling your data with the same diligence we expect from the services we use.
2. Data we collect
We collect data in three buckets:
2.1 Information you provide
- Account data — names, business names, email addresses, phone numbers, and passwords.
- Operational data — job records, crew schedules, client profiles, lockbox codes (where stored), checklists and quality audit media.
- Financial data — invoice line items, payout details, and Stripe Connect account references (we never store full card numbers ourselves).
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and log data — IP addresses, browser type, OS version, and timestamps of requests.
- Geolocation data — when a technician's mobile app is in active duty mode and explicit permission has been granted.
- Usage telemetry — feature engagement, error reports, and aggregated performance metrics.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Integration partners (QuickBooks, Google Calendar, Stripe Connect, Twilio) to keep your workspace in sync.
- Identity verification providers when SSO is configured.
3. How we use data
We process personal information to operate the Services, including: dispatching jobs, sending live ETAs, processing payments, generating analytics, sending product communications you opt into, and providing customer support. We also use aggregated, anonymised data to improve the platform.
4. Sharing & processors
We share personal information only with sub-processors required to deliver the Services (cloud infrastructure, email/SMS, payment processing). A current list is available on request from your account manager. We do not sell personal information.
5. Cookies
Our marketing site uses essential cookies (session management) and a small set of analytics cookies (privacy-respecting Plausible-style telemetry). You can manage preferences via your browser settings. The application itself uses session cookies required for authentication.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. Tenants can self-service most of these requests inside the platform; end-customers should contact the tenant directly, who is the data controller for their bookings.
7. Retention
Operational records are retained for the lifetime of the tenant account plus 24 months for compliance and dispute resolution. Backups are encrypted and rotated on a 35-day schedule. On account closure, raw operational data can be purged on request within 30 days, subject to legal hold requirements.
